Murals Frescos

All subjects are possible, all styles are permitted, Mural fresco is the equivalent of beauty and originality.This art talks byitself and is the reflection of society, hides architectural errors and revamps the all to many shades of dull and grey images of our lifestyles.

For centuries buildings and walls are decorated with murals, frescos and decorative arts maked of symbolisms. Murals have an natural esthetic, historical and sometimes a political meaning. It’s also a way to communicate an imagery of a society’s past present and future.

 Mural and fresco seduces and communicates to everyone, every culture and offers, when created outside,  an available and incomparable open air museum. From the interior, they show and restore magnifically one or many rooms either a private home, school or any other public, commercial and cultural sites. It’s an original way to embellish a workplace, a living room, a child’s room, a garden, an office…

Mural frescos has often covered walls on palaces, castles, temples, cathedrals , churches, royal gardens and even pyramids in Ancient Egypt. Also it can be more modest and cover walls in houses, public baths in Ancient Greece and many more...

History is full of frescas and murals especially Diego Rivera’s work of art of historical scenes illustrating the origin of the Mexican people, its evolution, independence and revolutions. These mural frescas are part of the Mexican pride and without a doubt recognized and approved all around the world. It demonstrates the unique technique of a fulfilled fresco, splendid colours and dynamic composition!

From a closer place in 2000 2001 and 2002, Monumental frescas were painted underneath the Dufferin-Montmorency Highway in Québec City.

This project, first directed by experienced artist Hélène Fleury was love at first sight for artist Julie Bernier. She fulfilled herself as a mural painter and afterwards created with other colleagues the Zone-Art Group, a Mural fresca of faux-fini and decoration enterprise.

Today, history repeats itself and artist designer and independant creator Julie Bernier decorates walls, buildings, paints small and large canvases and inspired photography...
